My name is Gigi. I am Director of Quality Management and I work at Kindred Gateway. I started at Kindred about 6 years ago and I actually started out as a nursing assistant in January of 2006. I enjoy working with the patients because we get to keep our patients a little bit longer. You get to know the patients better and the family members better. It's a little bit different care than I ever had to do before but it's quite rewarding. We will continue the care from the hospital they were before but our process is to get them moving towards healing and either home or to a skilled facility. When patients that have left hte facility come back in to say thank you to the staff and everything that's really rewarding because then you get to see the true outcome of where the patient is. You can see somebody who was going for rehab come back and actually walk into the facility and see where they are. It's very rewarding. and to actually here the thank you and that you made an impact in their life.
